OpenAI launched Dots, always-on ChatGPT agents with their own cloud computer, connected-app access, persistent context, scheduled/proactive tasks, and user-defined controls for approvals and autonomy. Pro rollout began today in selected markets; Business Premium and admin-enabled Enterprise beta are included, while other plans/regions are excluded for now. This is a new personal-agent direction beyond chat, discovered in DevDay coverage and Reddit discussion; capabilities are newly rolling out and not yet independently evaluated. OpenAI released GPT-6.1 Sol for agentic coding, computer use, and professional workflows, available via API as
gpt-6.1-soland in Work/Codex. OpenAI says it nears Astra on selected tasks at one-fifth standard token prices ($2/M input, $10/M output; cached input $0.10/M), with model-reported benchmark gains; independent replication is not yet established. The lower-cost agent model is a notable update in the emerging-model lane. OpenAI’s DevDay recap also introduced a distinct Decisions API: developers supply text or images and define a finite answer set; GPT-6 Luna returns classifications, routing choices, or an agent’s next action. It entered limited preview with broader release planned “in the coming days,” positioning structured decisions as a fast, bounded alternative to free-form generation; details and independent latency/quality comparisons remain limited. The same recap adds computer-use support to Agents API, Codex cloud environments and automatic cloud code review, plus MCP event-triggered plugin automations. Meta is extending its agent stack into business: the new Meta Enterprise Platform is bringing Muse, Muse API, Muse Code and Meta Business Agent to companies/developers, while Muse for Small Business connects business accounts and apps including Shopify, QuickBooks, Slack, Stripe, Asana, Box and Notion. Meta says actions that publish, send or spend require approval. This broad move from consumer agent to enterprise and SMB workflows is official; independent adoption/performance evidence is still early. A supply-chain compromise affecting agent memory infrastructure surfaced in Cloud Security Alliance research: attackers published malicious MemoryOS 2.0.34 on PyPI and several MemTensor OpenClaw plugin versions on npm on Sep. 23. The note says the plugin could expose conversation data and typed secrets; StepSecurity, SafeDep and Semgrep corroborated the package incident. Treat credentials used while affected versions were active as potentially compromised and follow vendor remediation guidance.
